Canadian Quality Inspections (CQI) is a Winnipeg, Manitoba based certified Welding Inspection Organization. We provide quality control, quality assurance, visual inspection, non-destructive testing and coating inspections for pressure piping, pressure vessels, structural steel, mobile cranes, industrial equipment and manufactured items.

 

We are looking for a Dispatcher/Administrator to join our team. If you are an ambitious individual that likes a challenge, this could be an opportunity for you.

Day to Day Responsibilities:

 

  • Maintain Dispatch Board – schedule jobs for technicians, review job flags and take appropriate action
  • Accounts Payable – verify invoices against purchase orders and update purchase orders as required, assist the Accounting Department with payable inquiries
  • Billings – complete invoices for T&M work, quoted work and service agreements, email invoices or upload to customer portal for payment, assist Accounting Department with invoicing related questions
  • Purchasing – monitor purchase orders for completeness, work with vendors on purchasing inquiries, process purchase orders as needed
  • Service Agreements – work with Service Managers to set up and maintain Service Agreements in BuildOps, schedule maintenance visits for technicians
  • BuidOps Support – assist technicians and Service Manager(s) with BuildOps as needed
  • Prepare quotes for review
  • Monitor job progress for reporting and engineer certificates
  • Keep calibration and safety folders up to date
  • Fill out prequalification documents
  • Update Log and Monitor Inspector safety tickets and certifications for expiry.
  • Other duties as assigned

We provide quality control, quality assurance, visual inspection, non-destructive testing and coating inspections for pressure piping, pressure vessels, structural steel, mobile cranes, industrial equipment and manufactured items.

We are looking for a Field/Shop Heat Treatment Technician to join our team and continue to grow the Heat Treatment Department. While this is a term position, we are committed to long-term investment in training, development and advancement of our employees so there is potential to become a full-time salaried employee once this Term has been completed.

As a valued member of the team, your core responsibilities will include:

  • Ability to work independently
  • Pre and Post Weld Heat treatment on piping sizes up to 24”
  • Read and interpret drawings, specifications, and determine heat treat applicability.
  • Ability to setup heat treatment program within heat treatment equipment.
  • Knowledge of and ability to use all tools pertinent to the trade
  • Install thermocouple wires, ceramic pads, insulations and banding.
  • Follow all company and client safety requirements
  • Other duties as assigned.

 

The following qualifications are required of the successful candidate:

  • Stand for long periods of time
  • Ability to work in congested areas
  • Must work well in a team atmosphere
  • Industrial experience is preferred 
  • Possess valid drivers license
  • Own transportation is required
